Our Eye Doctors

Eye care professionals specialize in understanding how the human eye really works, as well as diseases and conditions that affect your vision – many of which do not have obvious symptoms. Eye doctors know how age and risk factors affect vision over time for young and old, and they understand the benefits and features of corrective lenses including eyeglasses and contacts.

Lauren Miller, FAAO, O.D.

Dr. Miller is committed to providing comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages. Given her extensive experience and training, Dr. Miller not only practices full scope optometry including routine eye exams, contact lens fittings, and pediatric eye exams, she is very experienced in the treatment and management of glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye syndrome and ocular infections. She also provides pre and post-operative care for cataract and LASIK patients. Dr. Miller is originally from Calgary, Canada where she attended the University of Calgary and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics in 2002. She went on to obtain her Doctorate of Optometry in 2010 from the University of Houston College of Optometry, graduating Summa Cum Laude. While in optometry school, Dr. Miller served as a teaching assistant and received numerous awards and clinical letters of excellence, recognizing her outstanding performance. She was also a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. Following graduation from optometry school, Dr. Miller completed a residency in Ocular Disease and Refractive Surgery at Eye Center of Texas in Houston, TX where she specialized in the treatment and management of glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, ocular infections, ocular foreign body removal and surgical co-management. In 2012, she obtained her fellowship into the American Academy of Optometry and is an active member of Vision Source

Paul A. Williams, FAAO, O.D.

Dr. Williams specializes in family eye health and vision care. A native of Washington, he returned to practice in Parkland in 1998 from Oklahoma, where he served as Assistant Dean for Clinical Affairs at Northeastern State University College of Optometry. A graduate of Illinois State University and Pacific University College of Optometry, Dr. Williams served in the United States Air Force as Chief of Optometry at the USAF Hospital Kirtland for the New Mexico Regional Federal Medical Center. Following his service to the Air Force, Dr. Williams served as Clinic Director and Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Ophthalmology at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. He is a well-known lecturer in the areas of medical administration, glaucoma, diabetes, medical lasers, and health care education. Dr. Williams has held appointments and positions with numerous national health care entities and is the recipient of several awards including USAF Optometrist of the Year. Dr. Williams enjoys traveling with his wife Diane and sharing in the lives of his three children and stepdaughter.
